Hello!
I'm Catherine (aka seocat), a Korean-Australian illustrator and artist living in Sydney, Australia.
I have been developing my art style and slowly building a portfolio over the years in hopes to illustrate for children's book authors, and create warm, gentle pieces for both parents and children to enjoy.
I love working in traditional mediums, mainly with gouache, watercolour and coloured pencils. However, I also enjoy working digitally for faster turnarounds whilst still maintaining a traditional feel.
My main illustration subjects have been animals and botanicals, however I do wish to expand on including people in my works also. I am also interested in exploring the modernisation/children's book interpretation of Korean folk stories if that is of interest to you!
I also work with ceramics and clay, and have exhibited at several fairs and markets locally and internationally.
Interested in working together?
I would love to hear from you! :) feel free to contact me: seoycatbusiness@gmail.com
